Kentish Town NW5

The Cloud House has been specifically designed, and has taken direct influence from, the beautifully eccentric Grade 1 listed St Martin’s Church, which sits directly opposite the proposed site of The Cloud House. The spirit and magical, fairy-tale nuance of the church is further embraced within the structural design features of The Cloud House, and the many arches that are prevalent on the church are again represented by The Cloud House.

Whilst the immediate vicinity is not one designated as a ‘conservation area’, there is an eclectic feeling to it, so it would seem appropriate for the facial design of The Cloud House to be more than just a little flamboyant.

With its buff render coating, pale pink tone and duck egg metalwork, The Cloud House modestly brings some gentle, unassuming colour to the street. This was validated by a neighbour who commented “The Cloud House introduces a valuable ‘softer’ element to the street’s dressing, with its hoops, curves and decorations. It’s just what Vicars Road needs and will lighten and humanise the street.”

It should be further noted that The Cloud House project and build has been selected to feature in a full episode of “Grand Designs” on Channel 4

Astonworld are immensely proud to be negotiating and working closely with the client on this project – who also just happens to be the architect…and we look forward to providing more news on the project as it progresses.
