Notting Hill W8

We are very pleased to have been awarded the project for constructing a contemporary interior and exterior refurbishment of a mid-century house in the heart of London’s most eclectic and trendy districts – Notting Hill. The newly-created basement will see a floating staircase clad in Dinesen Wood, specially imported from Denmark. This staircase will flow all the way to the 1st floor and feature glass balustrades. The same Dinesen Wood is being fitted throughout the property using 400mm wide planks. The basement itself will see the introduction of a bedroom, bathroom and fully-equipped gym.

Once again, our specialist joiners will make bespoke kitchen furniture to the clients exacting specification. A 4 metre-wide, floor-to-ceiling glass sliding door will provide access on the ground floor from the kitchen to the rear garden. Complimenting the glass balustrades of the basement/1st floor staircase, we will see specially designed walk-on glass as hallway flooring on the ground and 1st floors, producing amazing views above and below, whilst maximising the flow of natural light from one floor to another

The theme of flowing light is also continued at roof level, with two walk-on rooflights that offer wonderful perspectives of view beneath – the remaining footprint of the roof is being utilised with a landscaped roof terrace. Shueco windows will be used for glazing throughout the property, and underfloor heating will be fitted as standard in all relevant rooms.
